StarTimes have secured the rights to telecast Asante Kotoko duel against Ashanti Gold in the BK Edusei Foundation Cup.
The clash scheduled for Sunday, September 1 at the Baba Yara Sports in Kumasi, is to raise funds to support the retired players of Asante Kotoko.
The BK Edusei Foundation is named after former Asante Kotoko legendary football administrator and lifetime patron Benjamin Kyem Edusei, who was also the club’s Accra Representative.
Just after the friendly, the Porcupine Warriors will have to prepare within seven days for Hearts of Oak clash in the 2019 President’s Cup.
Asante Kotoko will then wait for their CAF Champions League fixture against Tunisia powerhouse, Etoile du Sahel at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
Ashanti Gold on the other hand, will capitalize on the Asante Kotoko friendly to prepare for their CAF Confederation Cup duel against RS Berkane of Morocco.
