The Sekondi Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly (STMA) together with the Effia – Kwesiminstim Municipal Assembly (EKMA) have donated GHS 1000.00 and packs of mineral water to the senior national women’s team of Ghana, Black Queens.
Black Queens as part of preparations towards the much touted African Women’s Cup of Nations which will be hosted in Ghana, embarked on a nationwide tour which was climaxed with a friendly match with Western select side on Wednesday 26th September, 2018 at the Sekondi Sports Stadium.
The presentation was done by the newly created Effia-Kwesimintsim Municipal Chief Executive, Honorable Kojo Acquah.

The donation was received on behalf of the team by the captain Leticia Zikpi who expressed his profound gratitude and entreats the entire region to throw their support for the team.

Meanwhile, Black Queens managed to beat the Western select side by 3:0 courtesy goals from Mavis Owusu, Karima Abdulai and the sensational Grace Asantewaa.
