The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) has extended warm congratulations to two of its distinguished members, Yaw Ampofo Ankrah and Edwin Simeon Kurt Okraku, on their recent career advancements in the sports industry.
Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, a seasoned sports journalist and dedicated SWAG member, has been appointed by President John Dramani Mahama as the Director General of the National Sports Authority (NSA). This appointment is a historic milestone, marking the first time a sports journalist has held this prestigious position in Ghanaian sports administration.
Additionally, Kurt Okraku, the President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and a committed SWAG member, has been elected as a member of the CAF Executive Council. This recognition at the continental level is a significant achievement for Okraku, further cementing his influence in African football governance.
