The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) has successfully opened its Central Regional branch.
The inauguration of the Central Region SWAG unit took place at the Hacienda Hotel in Cape Coast on August 1, 2024.
This historic occasion signifies a big win for sports journalism in Ghana as well as a critical milestone in SWAG’s expansion.
A number of personalities including the SWAG President, Mr. Kwabena Yeboah, the Regional Minister, the MPs for Cape Coast North & South, the Metropolitan Chief Executive, and invited Chiefs, all graced the occasion with their presence .
The Central Regional branch of the Sports Writers is now officially unveiled and begin it’s work under the newly elected branch executives who were sworn in.
