The head of the Client Service Department of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) branch in Takoradi, Mr. Nkansah Hassan has entreated customers to maximize the rejuvenated client department for effective customer service.
According to him, customers of the authority should desist from engaging third parties who later turned to dupe them.
Speaking to Kyfilla.com during the authority’s client service week yesterday, Mr. Hassan said that, “we had experiences where people come to our office to complain about DVLA officials taken monies from them but after thorough research we realized that, clients have resorted to deal with third parties. I will urge our clients to visit our Client Service Department to channel their concerns.”[ads2]
About the transformation that the authority has gone through, Mr. Hassan heralded the current Regional Manager for his massive effort towards the reconstruction of the new office and the introduction of a queue management system which has enhanced the day to day serving of clients.
“It’s only Takoradi that has a queue system, this has prevented people from been duped”, he stressed.[ads3]
He applauded all stakeholders including the MTTD, insurance companies, Ghana Drive for the incredible collaboration and went ahead to advised the general public to always ensure that they were resorting to the client service department any time they requested for information.
Mr. Hassan also appealed to stakeholders who experience some delays in the cause of waiting for their licenses to exercise restraint and bear with the authorities as the institution works towards facilitating the process of securing their licenses.
“Some of the circumstances are beyond our control so bare with us”, he pointed out.
Asked about his advise to drivers driving without license, Mr. Hassan said that, “It’s dangerous to drive without a license and it is even against the country’s laws, so I will encourage them to approach us for enquires on how to obtain a license. “[ads4]
About the Client Service Week, Mr. Hassan stated that it is a way of DVLA showing appreciation to its customers by giving out souvenirs among others to each and every customer.
