Masquerading clubs or ‘Ankos’ has it populary called as all of a sudden becomes part of Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis with some even embarking on series of developmental projects in the region.
In Takoradi particular, Christmas and Easter festivities are the deal days for these clubs to display their dance and elaborate their beautiful clothes to the general public.
However, residents of Kwesimintsim, a suburb in Takoradi who have been crying for a masquerading club for longer period now were all joy during the grand launch of Canada Fancy Club, a masquerading club with it branches in Sekondi, Takoradi, Effiekuma and other towns within the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis.
The launching exercise saw over thousand indigenes of Kwesimintsim and its environs trumpeting through the principal streets of Takoradi on a cumbersome float.
The Executive Members of the Masquerading club, visited the Kwesimintsim Chief Palace followed by an electrifying street jams before embarking on the historic float in the afternoon with over thousands sympathizers.
Speaking after the gigantic float, the Chief Executive Officer of the Masquerading club, Abdul Rauf Rizik who was overwhelmed with the massive turnouts during the float, thanked the other Executives for their plans, decision making towards a successful launching.
He however urged all members of the club to do well by paying their dues on time to avoid any uncertainties in the near future.
Background
Canada Fancy Club was established on January, 2019 with the aim of using masquerading to help develop the community and its residents. The Masquerading club won the hearts of many when it started sharing its messages and ideologies.
Canada Fancy Club is also a socio cultural club which is aimed at bringing difference to the cultural entertainment in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis.
