The Executive Director of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation’s Foundation,(GNPC) Dr. Dominic Eduah, accompanied by the Member of Parliament for Effia, Hon. Joseph Cudjoe on Saturday, 27th April, 2019 inspected the progress of the Effiekuma Astro Turf project.
The delegation before, inspected another GNPC Funded project which is a new bridge that connects Effiakuma and Effia communities and is now at a 95% completion stage and comes as great relief to locals who had to rely on an old dilapidated wooden structure to access the community’s cemetery, schools and other places of importance.
The team, which had the project consultant and contractors, also inspected works on the Effiakuma Astro turf project which is expected to be completed by June 2019.
Dr. Eduah was overwhelmed with the fast progress of the two projects and believes both would be completed within the stipulated time given.
The Effiekuma Astro turf which is currently ongoing at the Effiekuma Police Park with the sod cutting exercise held on 13th July, 2018 is estimated to cost $ 250,000.
