The Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) has sponsored 435 artisans in the Western Region to take part in this year’s National Vocational Training Institute (NVTI) certificate examination.
Under its 2021 GNPC Skilled Artisans Project in the Western and Western North Regions, the 435 artisans partook in the exams which has come to and end.[ads2]
The final set of artisans underwent various tests of their aptitude in several vocational skills including Motor Vehicle Mechanics, Auto-Electricals, General Electricals, Aluminum & Metal Fabrication and Masonry last Friday.
Also, artisans registered under vocational skills such as dressmaking, tailoring and cookery took their turn to sit for the examination which is aimed at offering them a good standing in the job market by boosting their employability last week.
With Central, Western and Western North Regions completed, NVTI examination would also be organized for artisans registered for the project in the Greater Accra, Ashanti and Eastern Regions.
Dates for these regions, according to GNPC, will be communicated in due course.
