The GH¢5.1 million World Bank sponsored project for the construction of the Takoradi Library Complex would soon be handed over to the Sekondi Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly. The project which begun in October 2015 was scheduled for completion in June 2017, and is being constructed by AlfChils Company Limited. A Skyy News can report that the project is almost completed.
Site Supervisor with the construction firm, Alfred Enchil told Skyy News Eric Gyetuah, the facility would be handed over to the assembly within two weeks. He explained some cleaning works on the floors and wall tiles need to be done before the handing over.
“We are almost done with the project. We delayed due to some changes that were effected. The major work outstanding is cleaning. The cleaners have promised to finish their work in two weeks. Surely, by two weeks the people of Takoradi will have their library”, he emphasized.
He stressed that “after the two week expiration period, we will move from the site. The facility will be handed over to the STMA as intended”
