A motor rider has met his untimely death after he was hit by a pickup vehicle belonging to the Societe General bank at Mpintsin in the Sekondi Takoradi Metropolis of the Western Region of Ghana.
The motor rider, whose name has been given as Christian Nyarko, 42, died on the spot after the speeding pick-up vehicle with registration number, GR-4656-17.
The pillion rider, Emmanuel Kodua, 36, sustained serious injuries and is currently on admission receiving treatment at the Effiankwanta Regional Hospital.
A relative to pillion rider, indicated that the two work at a quarry company and were on their way to the office when the sad incident happened.
“His leg is broken and doctors are currently working on him and we are praying he gets better. They work in a quarry company as electricians. The company has given them the motor to be taking them to the office every day. So they were going to work when the incident happened. He is married with children”, he indicated.
In the meantime, the body of Christian Nyarko has since been deposited at the morgue for further investigations whilst the driver of the pick-up vehicle has since reported to the Police.
