Young Barcelona emerged champions of the Baby Jet U16 tournament in Takoradi.
The Kansaworadi-based club were champions of the two days competition after beating Rejuvenated Soccer Academy in the finals.
The eventual champions of the tournament piped Rejuvenated Soccer Academy on penalty shoot-outs to lift the ultimate.
Both teams were tied at 0-0 in regulation and had to be separated by spot kick.
Young Barcelona goalkeeper, Eric Benyah had to make two crucial saves during the shoot-outs to enable his side win the spot kick 2:1 at Gyandu Park in Sekondi.
At the end of the competition, Eric Benyah of Young Barcelona was voted the best goalkeeper whiles Charles Bartex emerged the topscorer with three goals same as Prince Tweneboah of Young Talent, who was adjudged the most valuable player of the tournament.
The most discipline team awards went to Kofi Kinaata’s Team Move FC, Sedan Soccer Academy and West Ridge FC.
The star-starded Young Barcelona side have also secured a qualification to the main tournament to be played in Accra.
