Ghanaian defender Tariq Lamptey has picked up another injury a few minutes into his first appearance for Brighton since October.
He started for Brighton against Nottingham Forest as a left back but could not contribute much to the team after he got injured just 35 minutes into the game.
The Black Stars defender had not played for Brighton since suffering an injury setback while on the field for Brighton on October 5, 2023, during a UEFA Europa League match against Olympique Marseille.
Due to injuries, Lampety had missed a few games for both club and country.
The defender was not available for Ghana last month’s international friendly between the Black Stars and Mexico and the USA as well the recent 2026 World Cup Qualifiers against Madagascar and Comoros.
Tariq Lamptey will undergo a scan in order for the extent of his injury to be assessed.
He was rated 6.1 in the game against Nottingham Forest.
