Ghanaian and Brighton and Hove Albion defender Tariq Lamptey has returned to team training after recovering from an injury.
The Black Stars defender has not played for Brighton since suffering an injury setback while on the field for Brighton on October 5, 2023, during a UEFA Europa League match against Olympique Marseille.
Due to injuries, Lampety has missed a few games for both club and country.
The defender was not available for Ghana last month’s international friendly between the Black Stars and Mexico and the USA as well the recent 2026 World Cup Qualifiers against Madagascar and Comoros.
His injury return is a boost for Brighton as well as the Black Stars as he is anticipated to make Ghana’s squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, which will take place in Ivory Coast in January and February of 2024.
