A Member of the 2014 Commission of Inquiry, Moses Foh-Amoaning has taken a swipe at some Executive Members calling on the president of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi to seek re-election.
The CAF first vice president has repeatedly said he will not seek re-election when his term in office ends in 2019 after assuming office in December 2005.
After the vice president of the Ghana FA, George Afriyie declared his intention to contest for the 2019 GFA elections during the celebration of his 50th birthday, some Member of the Executive Committee descended heavily on him describing him as a traitor.
However, Osei Kweku Palmer and Kojo Yankah have made an open declaration that they will force the Wa All Stars Chief Executive Office to seek for a fourth term in office.
But the renowned legal practitioner says those who are calling on Mr Nyantakyi to seek re-election are sycophants.
“God has blessed Kwesi Nyantakyi and I know we have all seen that,” he told Happy FM.
“He is the 1st vice president of CAF, FIFA Executive Council Member and WAFU Zone B Chairman. He has declared that he not will seek re-election in 2019 and I know he will be a man of his words.
“Those surrounding Kwesi Nyantakyi are sycophants. They should stop influencing him to seek re-election.
“They have their own agenda because they know if he [Kwesi Nyantakyi] leaves office, things will be difficult for them but I know Kwesi Nyantakyi will not adhere to their selfish interest.
“Kwesi Nyantakyi have to realize that there is time to live and there is time to die as the bible has said.
“We will pray and I know Kwesi Nyantakyi will not seek re-election in 2019 and those seeking for their selfish interest will be disgraced.
