Three policemen and one other person have been arrested and currently at the police custody for stealing.
According to reports, the three policemen and one other person have been gripped by the police for stealing 20 mobile phones, an HP laptop worth Gh¢60,000 and cash of Gh¢8,000.[ads2]
This happened when a complaint filed a report to the police that his shop in Ahinsan in Kumasi has been ransacked by a thief who made away with 20 mobile phones of various brands, HP laptop all valued GHS 60,000.00 and GHS8000.00.
The police then made a step to investigate the issue by visiting the scene for reconstruction.[ads3]
Upon investigations, the police arrested Losoya Bayor as the suspect at Moshie Zongo where they retrieved 3 mobile phones and 3 tablet phones believed to be part of the items stolen at the shop.
Losoya Bayor then confessed that after stolen the items, he met a police patrol vehicle on his way home from Manhyia.[ads4]
The police patrol team (made up of three policemen) arrested Losoya and took eight of the phones and the money which he stole from the complainant’s shop.
The three policemen identified as Charles Antwi, Prince Owusu and Timothy Azure who are all officers at ‘B’ District, Manhyia have been arrested according to reports.
The eight mobile phones of different brands and Gh¢3000 were retrieved from the three policemen which were retained as an exhibit.[ads5]
