Tobinco Pharmaceutical Company Limited has had its anti-malaria drug, Lufart adjudged the best product at the 2021 edition of the Ghana Pharma Awards.
As an effective treatment for uncomplicated malaria, Lufart came top in the category as the best product of the year.
The Ghana Pharma Awards provides a platform to recognize individuals and companies that play a significant role in the growth and development of the industry while recognising the key functions within the industry that promote growth and sustainability.
Cut across pharmaceutical agents, distributors, manufacturers, government agencies, insurance and financial institution among others, the wards scheme also exist to recognise distinctions in the field, and also to promote the interests of the industry – nationally and internationally.[ads3]
Tobinco Group had its manufacturing subsidiary, Entrance Pharmaceutical and Research Center adjudged the excellence in pharma formulation as well as excellence in health, safety, environment and quality.
A perfect month for Tobinco Group, its marketing and distributing subsidiary Tobinco Pharmaceutical Limited got the distributor of the year award.
Again, Entrance Pharmaceutical and Research Center emerged as the research company of the year while the founder and owner Dr. Samuel Amo Tobbin was bestowed the Chief Executive Officer of the Year.[ads1]
Meanwhile, the Ghana Pharma Awards also focuses on the theme “Positioning Ghana Pharma Industry For The Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and Vaccine Production”. Key stakeholders are the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana, Pharmacy Council, Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Associaction of Ghana, Food and Drugs Authority, Ghana Standards Authority, School of Pharmacy University of Ghana, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and Central University College.
