According to a report from reliable sources, Samuel Nerquaye-Tetteh, the Chief State Attorney at the Office of the Attorney-General, has lost his legal license as a result of improperly obtaining money from Wayome.
Mr. Nerquaye-Tetteh was disbarred by the General Legal Council (GLC) for collecting GH¢400,000 from businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome in 2011.
The lawyer was found guilty of professional misconduct under Rule 2(2) of the Legal Profession (Professional Conduct and Etiquette) Rules, 1969 (L.I. 613).
He will never be permitted to practice law in Ghana again, as things currently stand. The decision was made by the Disciplinary Committee of the GLC, the body that oversees the legal profession.
