Former Ghana International Mohammed Polo says ex- Hearts of Oak star who currently plays for Egyptian side Al Masry, Torric Jebrin was an embodiment of his style of football.
According to Polo who was termed the ‘dribbling magician’ due to his impeccable style of play believes Jebrin possessed his style of play and even saw himself in the youngster when at Hearts of Oak.
Torric Jebrin was a delight to watch when he joined Hearts of Oak but later in 2011 left the team to seek for greener pastures.
Speaking to Kwesi Koomson of Aseda FM in Takoradi, the dribbling magician said currently there’s no player in the Ghana Premier League that can be compared to him during his prime but pointed that Jibril was the next Polo in Ghana football.
” There’s no player in Ghana currently that can be compared to my style but I think that young guy called Jibril who left Hearts of Oak in 2011 was the next Mohammed Polo in Ghana football”, he said.
Mohammed Polo was among the great Hearts of Oak squad in the 1970’s and also an instrumental for Ghana during the 1978 African Cup of Nations, where Ghana were the eventual winners.
He is also said to be arguably the most technically gifted player to emerge from Ghana.
