On the highway connecting Takoradi and the Cape Coast, a truck transporting sand has capsized.
There were reports that the truck somersaulted and came to rest on the side.
Traffic is backed up on the N1 highway at that particular stretch of road due to the accident, but the driver is reportedly safe.
To avoid delays, an alternate route is to take the Ridge Royal route via the Green Hill section of Holy Child School and out to the Aggrey Memorial School area.
Authorities are making sure the truck gets towed in order to create space for other vehicles using the route.
