The Takoradi Technical University’s maiden edition of the newly introduced Annual Sports Awards will honor Ace Broadcast Journalist, George Kuntu Blankson as revealed at the launch of the event on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at the FAAT Conference Hall of the School.
The awards is slated for August 5, 2023 at the School’s main Auditorium

The University aims to confer meritorious honours on these individuals, sports personalities and teams in the region and encourage them to continually support the development of sports in the region.
Mr.Kuntu Blankson of Skyy Media Group (West Gold Radio and Skyy Power fm)is the most notable individual to be honoured for his support to sportsmen and women through his foundation thus Kuntu Blankson Sports Foundation.He will be awarded for his dedication and outstanding work in the media especially in the area of promoting sports in the Western Region.

The awards ceremony will also feature other awards categories including,the basketball player of the year,football player of the year,football coach of the year, personality of the year and so on.
In all sixty-six individuals will be honoured at the awards ceremony across eleven categories for males and females.
