Tullow Ghana Limited (TGL) organized a day engagement with the media in the Western region.
The discussion was focused on the TGL journey so far in the oil and gas production since obtaining Ghana license in 2006.
The Director of External affairs at Tullow Ghana, Madam Cynthia Lumor expressed her profound gratitude to the media for the opportunity to explain TGL’s operations in the region after twelve years of obtaining license in the country.

In her presentation, Madam Cynthia Lumor indicated that TGL was a major contributor to the minimization of the persistent and unpredictable electric power outages in the country otherwise known as “Dumsor” by supplying gas to support power generation for homes and businesses freely.

She continued that TGL has invested over $3.3 on training youth in oil and gas to increase Ghanaian participation and have spent over $29.6m in the socioeconomic development of Ghana since 2011.

Madam Lumor however acknowledge government collaboration but stated that TGL needs an enabling business environment to operates.

She concluded that the views of the media remain key to enabling TGL to be aware of the concerns and develop plans on how best to address it.
