Turkish Super Lig club Beşiktaş has released Ghana Black Stars defender Daniel Amartey as they seek to rebuild their squad.
Amartey, who joined the Turkish giants from English Premier League side Leicester City in 2023, moved to Beşiktaş following Leicester’s relegation to the English Championship.
Amartey signed a three-year contract with the Turkish outfit, but his injury history appears to have been a concern for Beşiktaş since his arrival last year.
The defender was part of coach Otoo Addo’s squad that defeated Mali and the Central African Republic during the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
