Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, Sam George has threw his weight behind US-based Ghanaian activist Twene Jonas for constantly criticizing the government to improve the living conditions of Ghanaians.
Twene Jonas has been making the trends for the past few days for bashing Ghanaian leaders over the poor condition of living in the country despite the nation boasting of large number of mineral resources.
Though some have kicked against his way of criticism, describing them as harsh, others believe that’s the right way to force the authorities to sit on their toes.
Reacting to this, Sam George believes Twene Jonas is speaking the hard truth, a thing according to him, Ghanaians don’t want to listen to.
He conceded that Jonas way of criticism is harsh but believes what the US-based activist has been saying are all factual.
“I think he is speaking the hard truth. Ghanaians know the truth but we hate to be told the truth and we like to be lied to and so when you see someone who is blunt with the truth and do tell how it is and says it to you how it ought to be said, we end up taking issues with them,” the legislator said on 3FM.
“Honestly speaking, the thing Twene Jonas has been saying which part of it do we not agree with? What part of the facts that the system is broken in Ghana that he points out can we disagree with?”
Twene Jonas is speaking the hard truth which some Ghanaians don’t want to listen to, I may get into trouble for saying this but let’s ask ourselves what he had been saying that isn’t true but ………
