Mr. Wisdom Djokoto, a teacher at Twin City Special School has appealed to organizations and philanthropist to support them with a sum of GHS 10,000 to aid in preparations ahead of the Special Olympic games at Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Twin City Special School which is for mentally handicapped children, is located at Essipong in the Western region have qualified for the first time in fifty years to represent Ghana in the 2019 Special Olympic games at Abu-Dhabi in UAE.

But Mr. Djokoto told Kwame Yeboah of Sekondi based Radio Silver that the school is not financially stable which has made the team’s preparation ahead of the competition static and headache for the teachers and therefore needs support from organizations and philanthropist in and outside the Western region.
“They are responding to training but our problem has to do with finance. The team will camp in Accra before the competition but it has become a burden on we the teachers so we will need the support of everyone including organizations and philanthropist in and outside the region. We will need roughly GHS 10,000″, he said.

Meanwhile, according to kyfilla.com checks, the competition will start on the 8th to 21st of March, 2019 but the team needs enough preparations before the main event.
