Desmond Ofei, the head coach of the Black Satellites, has made his goal public ahead of today’s WAFU Zone B U-20 Championship in Togo.
Since arriving in camp in August, the four-time African champions have being training to be ready for the upcoming tournament. The team’s training culminated in a high-profile friendly match against Germany, which they lost 5-0.
Ghana, has being paired with Togo, Benin, and Niger are in Group A. After missing out on the previous edition, coach Desmond Ofei has announced his goal to win the trophy or at least gain a berth in the 2025 U-20 AFCON, which he believes will mean a lot to the entire country.
Ghana will play the Young Squirrels of Benin in the opening round of their competition today, October 17.
