The Black Princesses of Ghana have qualified for the FIFA Women’s World Cup after easing past Senegal 7-1 on aggregate.
The Black Princesses earned a great advantage of qualifying in the first leg when they defeated Senegal 2-0 away from home.
The team put the icing on the cake to secure their qualification after a commanding 5-1 defeat over Senegal in the second leg which came off today Sunday, January 21, 2024 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Senegal easily overcame Benin and Uganda in their most recent match, while the Black Princesses defeated Guinea Bissau and Eswatini to advance to the final round of qualifying.
For the eighth time in a row, the Black Princesses have secured a spot in the World Cup competition and they now have their eyes on this year’s edition which will come off in Colombia.
