“The University of Cape Coast (UCC) emerged the winner in the 2023 Statsbank Hackathon after beating the University of Ghana (UG), Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), the University for Development Studies (UDS), and the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) in the final yesterday.
In a thrilling display of knowledge and skill, Team Badwenba from UCC developed a website using data from the Statsbank and other data sources for policymakers to easily identify districts with insufficient health and education facilities and highlight the most pressing infrastructure needs.
Bravo to Team Badwenba for putting up a spirited performance to secure a crucial victory, which has become the talking point in Ghana.
