The entire staff at Ultimate Car Rentals Ghana on Monday, November 20, 2023 underwent defensive driving training courtesy the regional branch of Occupational Safety and Health Association, United Kingdom at the company’s premises location at K-Nyame Building, Opposite Mapees Tyres on the Fijai Road.
The Fleet and Administrative Departments of Ultimate Car Rentals Ghana were taken through the training by Instructor Mr. Richmond Jonas Kwesi Quartey, the Head of Administration Ghana at Occupational Safety and Health Association.
The trainees were taken through various procedures to maneuver their ways through situations on the road with practical examples to demonstrate various skills needed to protect them in their line of duties.
Key distinctions were drawn between fellow users of the road and how their actions affect the safety of one another. These distinctions were practically as trainees were afforded time to ask questions and equip themselves effectively.
“Every human is either a pedestrian or a driver depending on the conditions they find themselves; drivers become pedestrians the moment they step out of the car.
“The definition of speed is not the number we see by stepping on the accelerator but by the condition we find ourselves and the state of the road – reasons scanning the environment is essential in driving” – Instructor, Richmond Jonas Kwesi Quartey in his line of tuition.
Also, Fleet Manager, Mr. Isaac Armah advocated that this training is essential and brings changes and enforces Ultimate Car Rentals Ghana’s prestigious tag as Safety and Comfort horn-touters.
