The University of Media, Arts, and Communication (UniMAC) is set to host another edition of its highly anticipated UniMAC Pitch Day, an event that provides Public Relations and Communication students with a platform to showcase their creativity and strategic thinking.
Led by dedicated lecturer Dr. Noel Nutsugah this initiative goes beyond traditional classroom assessments by challenging students to develop real-world community relations campaigns and present them to selected organizations. The event fosters industry engagement hands-on learning, and career-building opportunities, reinforcing UniMAC’s commitment to practical education in media, PR, and communication.
“Nothing excites me more than creating an avenue for my students to showcase their creativity in ways they themselves don’t know they can. Strategically curating examinable events like this helps bridge the gap between theory and practice.” Dr Noel Nutsugah expressed.
The event will bring together industry leaders and top organizations, who will not only critique student pitches but also provide them with insights that will build them for the industry.
Pitch Day 2025 will feature three guests judges including Benjamin Alpha Aidoo, a renowned Communication Professional.
Benjamin Aidoo will be evaluating student pitches and providing feedback based on his extensive industry experience along with Eli Daniel-Wilson, the Regional E-Business Lead at Publicis West Africa. Daniel-Wilson brings a wealth of industry experience and expertise to the event, offering invaluable insights to participants.
Gwendy Laryea, Consumer Educator at First National Bank, will also grace the Pitch Day with her presence as the third guest judge. Laryea’s extensive experience in consumer education and her role at a prominent financial institution are expected to provide valuable insights to the participants.
This direct exposure to industry experts gives students a unique advantage in their career development, positioning UniMAC as a leading institution in shaping the future of PR and communication professionals.
At UniMAC, we don’t just teach; we shape careers! Our students gain real-world experience, industry exposure, and direct connections with top companies. That’s why I am thrilled to be bringing industry leaders and organisations to this event, not only to critique student campaigns but also to spot top talents and create potential job opportunities. To my students! This is your moment to shine. To our industry guests, thank you for believing in young talents. And to anyone considering a career in media, PR, or communication, UniMAC is where the future is built!” Dr Noel Nutsugah reiterated.
