Famous Ghanaian-British actress Ama K. Abebrese has been named an International Organization for Migration (IOM) National Goodwill Ambassador by the UN.
She will actively promote well-managed migration, shining light on its beneficial role in the distribution of talent across the world, alongside eight other ambassadors.
The director-general of IOM, Amy Pope, expressed her excitement about these well-known individuals supporting programs that improve migrant lives and promote humane migration practices.
IOM, an intergovernmental organization that was founded in 1951, is essential to the functioning of the UN system.
After a prolonged absence from the screen, the actress and entrepreneur will now set out on a new journey.
