Scientists at the University of Ghana have successfully sequenced the genomes of SARS-Cov-2, the virus responsible for the global Covid-19 pandemic.
The scientists after several research have obtained important information about the genetic composition of the viral strains in 15 of the confirmed cases in Ghana.

Per a statement from the Public Affairs Directorate at the University of Ghana, samples of fifteen travellers from Norway, UK, India and other countries who arrived in Ghana were taken for research.
