The Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) Foundation has provided ten boreholes to ten communities in the Upper East region of Ghana.
The newly constructed boreholes with hand-pumps is to provide potable water to the deprived communities in the region who lack access to potable water.
The projects which forms part of the Foundation’s corporate social responsibility, has witnessed 100 boreholes constructed across the country of which 40 are in the Northern region with Upper East and Upper West having 10 each.
Also, 20 out of the 100 boreholes have been constructed in the Western region with 20 sited across the Ashanti, Brong Ahafo and the Central regions.
Meanwhile, the commissioning of the 10 boreholes with pumps in the Upper West region, is scheduled for Thursday, May 23, 2019 at the Naa Gbewa Primary School in Bawku.
