The Vetting Committee of the Normalization Committee have successfully passed four out of five candidates vying for the Western Region FA seat.
Astute football administrator Alhaji Fuseini Mahama who was touted as one of the favorites for the vacant seat, has been disqualified by the Vetting Committee.
In a list published by the Normalization Committee as the candidates eligible to contest for the various positions in the upcoming Ghana FA elections, the bankroller for Western Region division two side Ajax Football Club was nowhere to be found.

His exclusion comes as huge surprised to many football addicts in the Western Region, since he was the only candidate considered as experienced enough to challenge James Asiedu Kainyah who was the Vice Chairman under Kojo Yankah’ administration, for the highest seat in the region’s football business.

Enterprising football administrators in the region like James Asiedu Kainyah, Bismark Owusu Mensah, Jacob Wemegah and Simon Ehomah are the four candidates left to contest for the vacant seat on October 25, 2019.
