Award-winning Ghanaian reggae/ dancehall artiste Stonebwoy has said his ban from the prestigious Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) is a blessing to some of how colleague musicians.
According to the ‘Nominate’ hit-maker, his ban from the award scheme will now pave way for some of his colleagues to get a name for themselves.
It would be recalled that, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale had a brawl during the awards show last year which forced the show to come to an abrupt end.

The two Ghanaian musicians were then banned indefinitely with their awards stripped off from them by the organizers of the awards scheme Charterhouse..
But Stonebwoy believes he is happy that his ban from the award scheme didn’t became his downfall rather a blessing to some of his colleague artistes.
“Some artistes have come to say it was a blessing in disguise for them because some of us are not on the awards with them because that is the only way they can prosper,” Stonebwoy said on Joy News.
“So it gives me joy to be a blessing to people even though it was supposed to bring me down,” he said.
