The Ghana Ambassador to Egypt, Dr. Winfred Nii Okai Hammond has visited the Black Meteors camp in Cairo.

The Ghana U23 side are in Egypt for the Africa U23 Championship which start on November 8 and end at November 22, 2019.
Dr. Hammond assured the Black Meteors contingent the embassy’ support throughout their stay in Egypt.
He also urged the team to make Ghana proud in the competition by winning the tournament and also securing a ticket to the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
Black Meteors skipper Yaw Yeboah on behalf of the team, expressed their profound gratitude to the Ghana’ representative in the North African country, and added that the team will do their best to make Ghana proud.

Ghana has been paired in group A with host country Egypt alongside Cameroon and Mali.
Coach Ibrahim Tanko’ side will face Cameroon in the opening match before facing Egypt and Mali.
