The former member of Parliament for Atebubu-Amantin on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sanja Nanja has been chased out of the Atebubu Palace.
In a video going viral on the various social media platforms, the former legislator and the NDC Regional Chairman as well as the Regional Secretary could be seen chasing out of the palace while the residents of the area boo at them.[ads4]
It would be recalled that Sanja Nanja in 2016 allegedly rained insults on the queen mother of the traditional area, Nana Afia Donyina on Kasoa-based Pink FM, over a standoff between the MP and the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area, Sampson Owusu Boateng, resulting in the burning down of the constituency office of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He was subsequently banned from entering the palace by the Atebubu Traditional Council as well as campaigning at the area.[ads3]
It is believed that Sanja Nanja and the NDC Regional Executives went to the palace to resolve the issue but things got out of hand and were subsequently chased out of the palace.
