Asante Kotoko head coach Maxwell Konadu says his side’s approach to their game against Karela United today was to get the first goal.
Kotoko managed to defeat struggling Karela United side 0:1 at the Akoon Park in Tarkwa this afternoon.

Striker, William Opoku Mensah netted the only goal as early as the 2nd minute to secure the Porcupine Warriors the three maximum points.
Speaking after the game, coach Maxwell Konadu indicated that, their approach to the game was to score an early minute goal and try to defend tactically till the blast of the final whistle.

“Our game plan was to get the early goal and try to tactically defend very well of which the players did that to perfection”, Konadu said.

After the narrow victory, Kotoko have moved to the first position on the league table with 24 points though the other sixteen teams have a game at hand.
