Ghanaian actress and media personality, Afia Schwarzenegger has responded to allegations made against her by some supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Afia Schwarzenegger was accused by some supporters of the leading opposition party for accepting huge sums of monies to damage their flagbearer John Dramani Mahama ahead of the December polls.[ads2]
Their accusations comes after the former UTV presenter switched her allegiance to the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) after many years of working for the NDC and John Dramani Mahama.
In a video circulating on social media, Afia Schwarzenegger has denied the allegations, stating that she has received not even a penny from the NPP and if the NDC supporters are accusing her of accepting monies from the ruling party just to tarnish the image of their flagbearer John Dramani Mahama then the NDC also did same when she was propagating for the party.[ads1]
She stated that her switched to the NPP is because President Akufo-Addo is investing state funds wisely for the benefit of Ghanaians and not for his personal gains like what John Dramani Mahama was doing when in power.
