The West African Examinations Council has published the provisional results for both public school and private candidates who participated in this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination.
WAEC has disclosed that the results for school candidates will be distributed to their respective schools via the Metropolitan/Municipal/District Directors of Education.
On the other hand, private candidates can view their results on www.waecgh.org, the Council’s official website.
This information was communicated in a statement dated November 9, 2023, and signed by John Kapi, Head of Public Affairs of WAEC.
“School candidates who so desire may also access their results online at the Council’s website. However, WAEC has reported that the scripts of 22,270 candidates in specific subjects are currently under scrutiny due to reported cases of mass cheating.
Depending on the outcomes of the investigations, their results may be either invalidated or released, according to WAEC.The Council has also cautioned all parties to be wary of individuals who claim they can improve results for a fee.Candidates are urged to remember that WAEC results are secure and can be verified for authenticity,” the Council stated.
