Ghana Senior Women’s National team, Black Queens chastised Togo in a six goal thriller today in the second group game of the ongoing WAFU Zon B championship.
The Black Queens trounced their counterpart from Togo in a group A encounter to boost chances of making it to the next round of the competition.
FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup topscorer, Mukarama Abdulai had the opener for coach Mercy Tagoe Quarcoe’s side in the 45+5 minutes to end the first department of the game.
Fabulous Ladies sensation Alice Kusi scored her second and third goal in the tournament (53, 65) before Grace Asantewaa had the fourth goal for the defending champions.
Mavis Owusu who was superb in the encounter had the fifth and the sixth goals for Ghana and also went ahead to clinch the Most Valuable Player in the game.
The victory means Ghana have accumulated six points after two matches and will come face-to-face with the host country, Ivory Coast in the last group game of the competition.
