Nana Tetrete Okuamoah Sekyim II, the paramount chief of the Wassa Amenfi traditional area donated a sum of GHc100,000 and a cow to the Samatex Football Club for winning their historic and maiden Ghana Premier League title.
The chief donated with his sub-chiefs of the above-mentioned traditional area to show their appreciation for Samartex for their highly impressive run to go against the odds to clinch the title.
Nana Tetrete Okuamoah Sekyim II and the sub-chiefs executed the kind gesture when the players and officials paid a courtesy call to the traditional council.
FC Samartex was officially crowned as the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League Champions on Sunday despite winning the trophy with two games to end the season.
The team pulled off a stellar performance in the last game to record a 2-0 win over Accra Lions to climax the 2023/24 season.
