The Minority member of Parliament walked to the Electoral Commission headquarters on Tuesday to petition the body about the result of the 2020 December polls.
The NDC have been demonstrating against the 2020 election results after the Electoral Commission announced President Akufo-Addo and the NPP as winners.[ads2]
As part of expressing their dissatisfaction, the MPs walked from the Parliament house through to the headquarters of the Electoral Commission to petition the body.
They were led by the Minority leader Haruna Iddrisu alongside Minority Chief Whip, Muntaka Mubarak, the legislators were prevented from going beyond a barricade around the Ridge Roundabout in Accra.[ads3]
The MPs defied the orders of the police who said they were not aware of any walk by the Minority to the EC offices.
Some of the MPs who undertook the walk include A.B.A Fuseini, Mahama Ayariga, Mutawakilu Adam, Laadi Ayii Ayamba among others.[ads4]
