Ghana Football Association and its members have to wait a little longer to resume operation according to the Sports Minister in his latest media interaction.
Honorable Isaac Kwame Asiamah revealed that football among other contact sports like basketball, netball, volleyball and others will have to wait a little longer as the ministry is currently going through a phase easing to bring back other sporting activities.

The President of Ghana on March 15 ordered all sporting activities to be halted in line with some measures put in place by Government of Ghana to combat the spread of the virus, despite having only two cases then.
Football people are reluctant to make decision as to whether or not to continue the 2019/2020 Football season due to not being able to have a proper season since 2017 according to several reports.
The three professional leagues(Ghana Premier League, Division One Leagues and Women’s Premier Leagues) are already halfway through before being suspended.

On May 31, 2020 President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo eased some restrictions on non-contact sports enabling 14 sporting activities to train.
In anticipation to know exactly what’s happening to football and what the road maps are, the minister was quizzed as to what exactly is happening to football.
“We are going through a face easing, currently, what has been released now is the non-contact sports and there’ll be the time for other sports as we are currently in discussion with the various federations and associations” – Honorable Kwame Asiamah.
