Eric Alagidede, general manager of Nsoatreman FC, believes his club is not under any pressure as they get ready for their CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
After winning their first FA Cup title on Sunday at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium thanks to a thrilling penalty shootout victory over Bofoakwa Tano, the Ghana Premier League team has earned the right to represent the nation in the continental competition.
Mr. Alagidede stated in an interview that their goal is to improve their team and perform well in Africa in order to leave a lasting impression.
“We will improve the team for Africa next season. The coach has already started discussions with some players because we need to go there and leave a mark” he told Asempa FM on the Ultimate Sports Show.
Alagidede emphasised that, despite Dreams FC’s remarkable run to the semifinals the previous season, Nsoatreman FC plans to concentrate on their own performance and preparations.
“Dreams FC have set the standard but we are not under pressure to replicate what Dreams FC did by playing in the semifinals. We will prepare adequately and ensure we go to Africa and perform,”he added.
