Sekondi Hasaacas Ladies Interim Management Committee Chairman, Mr. Samuel Arbuah has hinted that, the team have not received the NC Special Women’s Cup prize money after winning the competition.
Hasaacas Ladies pinched Ampem Darkoa Ladies to a 3:2 victory at the El Wak Sports Stadium to clinched the ultimate with captain Perpetual Agyekum winning the topscorers award with nine beautiful goals in the competition.
After barely a month of winning the ultimate, the Management of the team have not received the prize money from the Dr. Kofi Amoah led Normalization Committee which has raised eyebrows in the country.
However, Samuel Arbuah has affirmed that, the prize money has still not hit the account of the team, revealed that management had to beg for a loan to see the players off with the hopes that the prize money will arrive in no time soon.
“We are yet to receive the Prize money after winning the NC women’s Cup, only dummy cheque”, he told Nhyira FM.
“We went for a loan to see off our players. Calls have been done but they say nothing is on the table. We are pleading to them to pay us the money, Samuel Arbuah added.
Meanwhile, Hasaacas Ladies duo Janet Egyir and Evelyn Badu are part of the Black Queens final 20-Women squad for the 2019 WAFU Zone B tournament slated for May this year in Ivory Coast.
