The President and Bankroller of Division One League side, New Edubiase, Abdul Salam Yakubu has disclosed his management has released 21 players out of the Club after the 2022/2023 season due to their level of seriousness.
Abdul Salam whose intention for the upcoming season is to qualify to the BetPawa Premier League claims his outfit needs serious players to compete in the Zone 2 of the Access Bank Division One League.
So in view of that they have released 21 players who played for the club last season and do not share in the same ideas of the Club.
“We are seeking to qualify next season and as a matter of that management has released 21 players who cannot help up because they didn’t show much seriousness” – he told Asempa Sports.
The former MTN FA Cup Champions finished mid-table after Nations FC picked the only slot in the Zone.
Edubiase last played in the Ghana Premier League some seven seasons ago.
