The President of the Ghana Football Association Kurt Edwin Simon Okraku has expressed his joy after a successful ending to the 2022/23 Betpawa Premier League on Sunday.
Medeama Sporting Club emerged Champions after beating Tamale City FC 3-0 at the Akoon Park in Tarkwa to win their maiden League title.
The victory also meant Medeama Sporting Club become the third team from the Western Region to win a premiership after Eleven Wise and Hasaacas won it in 1960 and 1977 respectively.
Speaking to Startimes led Commentator Nana Adarkwa Gyesi after the match at the Akoon park, the elated FA boss said
“This is unbelievable, unbelievable, beyond my expectations. Today we have given a firm statement that we have the passion for our sport, we love our GPL and our GPL is alive , “

Medeama sc are two time champions of the Ghana FA cup and now winners of the Ghana Premier League.
They will represent Ghana in the 2023/24 Caf Champions League
Medeama sc clinched the title with 18 wins, 6 draws and 10 loss to amass 60points with 44 goals scored and 29 conceded.
