The Twin City, Sekondi Takoradi in recent times have been recording and encountered several cases of kidnappings, robbery attacks, serial killings, among others.
Boga Ali Hashim, Takoradi based blogger has vehemently called for a massive military patrolling in Sekondi -Takoradi. He believes this action and method in one way or the other salvage and curb the menace.

According to him, The twin city is no longer safe and has pleaded with the high authorities such as the Regional Minster, Metro Chief Executive, RESEC among others to hear their cry and provide the city with military patrol team.
Boga Ali Hashim in a facebook post wrote “This ‘nonsense’ must stop. Sekondi Takoradi is no longer safe and sound. Influx of robbery attacks, kidnappings, serial killings, it has become one too many. We’re not at peace.
“Sometimes, I wonder what these police team dispatched at various check point on our roads do, These criminals obviously operate with motorbikes and vehicles yet they’re not apprehended. ‘A BIG QUESTION FOR ANOTHER DAY.
“To me, It’s time we have a massive military patrolling team in this city at least in the night. This I believe would put some level of fear in these ‘good for nothing’ people who perpetrate this atrocious and nefarious act.
” It’s sad to see such a vibrant and young guy shot and murdered in his own residence. This could be you and I or any other person.

This comes after The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Takoradi Constituency Treasurer Mark Ofori was shot dead at his Fijai residence.
A close source to the family narrated that “the gunman came to the house last night (29th October, 2019) and went straight to his (Mr. Ofori) room and shot him. They did not take anything from the house.”
