The President and Chief Executive Officer of Berry Ladies, Dr. Gifty Oware-Mensah has heaped praises on players of the team for an incredible performance against Hasaacas Ladies on Saturday, October 8, 2022.
Berry Ladies were pipped 1:0 by Hasaacas Ladies in first game of the Ghana Women’s Premier League at the Gyandu Park.[ads3]
Even though her outfit were beaten by the former league champions, Gifty Oware-Mensah believes her players played an incredible football but were unlucky hence the reason why they failed to score at the Gyandu Park last Saturday.
“I think today the girls played well, they have proved they have a lot of technical strength but football is about winning which obvious they ‘ve lost but then am not angry because everybody who watched the game know that they were far better a team than the opponent”, she said.[ads4]
She heralded the match officials of the game for an exceptional performance even though her team lost.
“For today if there is anybody who deserves an award, I think is the referee, because the referee was very fair, she was communicating with her lines and everything that was done, both of us were happy and comfortable with officiating which I think is the best decision that any referee can make and today I think she did extremely well which really is what we expect other referees to emulate and today Hasaacas Ladies comported themselves well”, she added.
