Medeama Sporting Club President, Moses Armah-Parker has hinted that they will play Confederation of African Football Champions League games at the refurbished Tarkwa and Aboso Stadium.
As a result of their excellent performance, the Yellow and Mauves were elected 2022–23 champions. The Tarkwa-based side will represent Ghana in the Confederation of African Football’s Champions League next season. Earlier reports suggested that Medeama SC would play games at Cape Coast Stadium. This is since Akoon Park, which they adopted as their home ground, will not meet CAF standards.
Speaking to Graphic Sports in an interview, Mr. Parker confirmed that the development facility was 90 percent complete. He was, therefore, hopeful that the upcoming architectural masterpiece would be ready before the continental club competition.

Moses Parker also hinted that the Cape Coast Stadium had been chosen as an alternative venue in case the contractors failed to complete the Tarkwa Stadium before the CAF Champions League began.
Two years ago, Medeama’s sponsor, Gold Fields Ghana Limited, voted $16 million to renovate the stadium into a 10,000-seater edifice with modern facilities.
Among the features are the seating capacity, the playing field, the VIP stand, the media stand, the ticket booth, and the drainage system.
